Interactive Digital Systems has a purpose of identifying, providing, and supporting the wireless industry with needed integral infrastructure equipment. It has been, and continues to be, our mission to identify the equipment needs of each individual customer and deliver them in a timely, competitive manner.
Realizing that many of our customers have similar needs – channel cards, amplifiers, batteries etc., Interactive Digital likes to look deeper into its customers’ specific needs. By identifying working relationships with our customers and their engineers- and determining these specific needs, these needs can affect both the operational and functional characteristics of each Cell Site. Providing essential hardware can be the difference between a functional Cell Site Network vs losing costly revenue. An example of such an instance happened when Interactive Digital was approached by one if its customers about Amplifier failure due to heat overload. IDS identified a consistent component failure and through conversations with site technicians and regional managers, it was determined that there was a consistent problem: lack of proper airflow. Interactive Digital worked out a solution with a fan manufacturer until a fan tray assembly was devised and implemented. By almost doubling the airflow to the Amplifiers, Interactive Digital was able to eradicate Amplifier failure due to heat overload. It was at that time Interactive Digital created a specialized “seed stock” of these assemblies to meet that customers’ specific needs. Not only was this a cost effective solution, for a fraction of the cost for repairing these Amplifiers, actual site down time was reduced, engineer response and repair of these Amplifiers was virtually eliminated.
Interactive Digital Systems also offers to all of its customers specialized site hardware that may be difficult to obtain by either having long lead times, or even designated by the manufacturer as “end of life” or out of production. Through our customers we determine which hardware they need and we will stock it for them for hot spares, repair-swap the equipment and offer extended warranties of up to 3 years for some equipment.
Interactive Digitals’ core concentration is TDMA, CDMA, and limited GSM by manufacturers such as Lucent, Nortel Networks, Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Tellabs, Cisco and HP/Compaq to name a few.
